　　What’s your opinion on traveling?

　　Well, nowadays traveling on holidays has become a fashion in China with the development of economy. When the demands on food, clothes and some other necessities of life become far beyond being satisfied, people have come to spend their extra money on traveling.

　　Traveling has many advantages. Firstly, it provides oppotunities ofr people to taste strang food and to know novel customs that they otherwise would not know. Secondly, through traveling, men may make friends along the way. Thirdly, in traveling, people can broaden their horizen, enrich their experience of life and expand their scope of knowledge, especially of geography and history. However, traveling also has some disadvantages. For example, perilous peaks and furious rapids may endanger travellers’lives.

　　Accommodations and bad weather trouble travellers a lot. Well, on the whole, I think travelling does more good than harm.

　　Do you like music? Can you say something about music? Yes, I like music very much. There are many kinds of music since people have different ideas about what is beautiful. Good music often has a wonderful effect upon the feelings of every person. Forinstance, soft and sweet music soothes the wearied, the sad, and the restless, while grand music will fill strong men with great ambitions. Indeed, as one poet once asked, "What passion cannot music raise and quell?"

　　Are there any taboos in China? Can you give us some examples?

　　Yes. China is a country with a long history, during which a lot of taboos have come into being. Here are some examples. Don’t say any unpleasant words during festivals, especially the word "death", old people are particularly unhappy when hearing that.

　　Don’t wear white clothes if you’re going to attend a wedding. Nor should you bring white flowers.

　　You should also avoid white clothes during the Spring Festival, red is the best colour.

　　Don’t send others clocks as gifts, for they have a funeral connotation. Don’t share a pear with your friends, relatives of family members. Don’t give couples or lovers umbrellas as presents. Both pears and umbrellas suggest "parting".

　　這位考生在回答問題時雖然沒有使用明顯的列舉法，但幾個排比性質(zhì)的don’t...，don’t...，仍然卓有成效地起到了列舉法的作用，聽來仍是條理清晰，表述充實。
