Dear Editor，
I’m Li Hua, a senior high school student. I’m writing to appeal to you for the severe environmental pollution problem in our school.
Located in the suburb, our school lies at the foot of a mountain, by which a river flows. Inside our campus, you could enjoy a fantastic view with evergreen trees and blooming flowers. However, a paper mill was set up near our school two years ago. Since than, it has kept on emitting large amounts of exhaust gas and waste water, which has caused serious pollution to the environment of our school and deeply affected our health.
Active measures are in a desperate need to ensure clean water and clear air for all of us. Only through the combined efforts of you all, can we protect our common homeland from being damaged. Your early reply is highly appreciated.
