　　Spring Rolls 春卷

　　Spring rolls are a Cantonese dim sum dish of cylindrical shape. The filling of spring rolls could be vegetables or meat, and the taste could be either sweet or savory. After fillings are wrapped in spring roll wrappers, the next step is frying, when the spring rolls are given their golden-yellow color. It is a dish especially popular in East China: Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Fujian, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, etc.

　　春卷是廣東人的小點心，其形似圓筒狀。春卷通常有蔬菜餡或者肉餡兩種，口味可甜可辣。做法是把包好的春卷，放入平鍋，將其炸成金黃顏色。春卷這種小吃流行于中國東部的江西，江蘇，上海，福建，廣州，深圳，香港等地方。

　　Spring rolls get their name because they are traditionally eaten during the Spring Festival. Lucky Saying for Eating Spring Rolls 黃金萬兩 (hwung-jin wan-lyang/): 'A ton of gold' (because the fried spring rolls are gold in color they look like gold bar) — a wish for prosperity.

　　春卷因其是春節的傳統小吃，所以素有黃金萬兩之稱。因為炸后的`春卷在顏色，和形狀上酷似金條，所以寓意著財富。

　　My Spring Festival is special

　　My Spring Festival is special. My uncle and my aunt came back from Shanghai. My family were very happy to keep the Spring Festival with them. And it was the most exciting festival of all the festivals.

　　我的春節很過得特別,我的叔叔阿姨重上海回來.我們家的人十分高興可以和他們過春節.這是我最興奮的一次春節。

　　On New Year’s Eve, my father and my uncle talked about their work together. My mum did some cooking with my aunt Grandparents and I watched the New Year TV programmes. At about six o’clock, we had a special family dinner. We all thought the dumplings were delicious.

　　在新年的前夕(除夕夜)，我的父親和我的叔父上一起談論他們的工作。我媽和我的'伯母和祖父母起做飯，而且我看了新年電視節目。在大約六點鐘，我們有了一份特別的家庭晚餐。我們全部認為餃子很可口。

　　On the first day of the New Year, we visited our relatives. In the afternoon, we went shopping in Jiefang Road. My uncle bought some Jay’s CDs. He likes Jay’s music very much. There were so many people on the road. It was more alive than any other time of a year.

　　在新年的第一天，我們拜訪了我們的親戚。午后，我們在解放路逛街。我的叔父買了一些周杰倫的唱碟。他非常喜歡周杰倫的音樂。道路上很多人。

　　On the second and the third days, we spent a wonderful weekend in the country. There were much bigger trees than in the city. And the animals were more beautiful than in the city. We all enjoyed ourselves.

　　在第二、三天里，我們度過了一個好周末。有比較大的樹比較在城市中。而且動物比在城市中更美麗。我們玩得好高興。
