After noticing that her eighth grade students had problems concentrating during the math class, a North Carolina teacher decided to release their energy in a different way -- cycling.
It doesn’t sound like the most common thing to do during the math class, but Bethany Lambeth, a teacher from Wake County, says that ever since she fixed the cycling machines under her students desks, the quality of their work has improved greatly, they are more concentrated.
“Before, they were knocking on their desks and touching other people, and they don’t do that anymore,” she said, “There has been a huge increase in the quality of our student’s work and a drop in the number of missing work.”

The kids love the new “toys” very much. Sofia Fedele, one of the Lambeth’s students, said cycling helps her concentrate on her work and keeps her exercising during class.
